The dairy farm is a true family business with room for growth. There are approximately 90 dairy cows and 65 head of young cattle on the farm. The feed for the cows comes from 45 hectares of land.
The dairy cows are housed in a new and modern equipped barn with much attention paid to animal welfare, efficiency and ease of work. When the barn was built in 2010, provision was made for further growth opportunities. Currently, the barn has capacity for 120 dairy cows. There is still a plan for adding a compost barn. A choice has also been made for automation. Milking is done with two milking robots.
All our young cattle are housed in a modern, spacious loose housing system. Our calves even have access to a spacious igloo hut with plenty of straw. And they love it!
The milk is collected three times a week by dairy factory BEL Leerdammer. BEL Leerdammer produces, among other things, Leerdammer Cheese and Boursin. The milk is produced according to the assurance criteria Chain Quality Milk and PVE/IKB regulations.
